Hello everyone and welcome to the third issue of this newsletter.
Since our community on Instagram is growing a lot, i kind of felt like having to give you an update on what’s up in my tiny world of neo-classical music. This will never be a “complete” roundup, but i’d like to give you a small overview of some fresh music i could dig into.
Niklas Paschburg recently released a new Single with a feature by Millie Turner. It’s a collaboration that creates a sound that spans the genres of piano, electronic and indie. The Song is a reinterpretation of the well known track, which already was released on „Svalbard“ in February 2020. // ”Bathing In Blue” on YouTube
Echo Collective have released their eight track album called „The See Within“. You can buy the full record as a digital or vinyl release on band camp. The Track The Witching Hour is my favorite. Just because it perfectly fits into all the autumn landscapes around. // The See Within on Bandcamp
Christian Löffler will soon release his album "Parallels (Beethoven)" at Deutsche Grammophon. While the Beethoven Year is still in full swing, Christian Löffler has taken on various compositions by Beethoven. Shellac Reworks by Christian Löffler will be released with the labels well-known yellow logo. You can already listen to the single ”Pastoral on YouTube”.
Martin Kohlstedt recently release a new music video of the single JUL, which is part of his upcoming album, which will be released on 27.11. via Warner Classics. „FLUR“ by Martin Kohlstedt will be released on Vinyl, CD and all streaming and download platforms. You can already listen to the first single called ”JUL” (live in a corridor) on YouTube.
CEEYS released their new album "Hausmusik“ in October. The two Potsdam-based brothers Daniel and Sebastian Selke used their connection to music, to find their very own way of dealing with their childhood memories. They present a dialog of memories and thoughts, only with the help of their two main instruments, the cello and the piano. You can listen to ”Reunion” on YouTube
